Tenant FAQs

Whether you’re thinking about applying for a property, just moving in or you’ve been with us for years – you may have questions about requirements and responsibilities. Here are some of the most popular questions we get from tenants like you. If you don’t see the answer to your question here, send us a message or give us a call. As your Indianapolis property management company, we are here to help.

  • How do I pay rent?

We want to make it easy for you to pay rent on time and avoid late fees and penalties. The easiest way to do this is by paying rent online.
  • When will you come into my property?

Unless there’s an emergency, we won’t enter your property without prior written notice. We’ll come inside periodically to inspect the property to conduct routine maintenance. You’ll always be advised before we enter.
  • What if something breaks? Who is responsible?

When a repair is needed, you can contact our office or fill out the maintenance request form online. Your lease will indicate who is responsible for paying maintenance and repair bills. Tenants are often only responsible when they break or damage something that was otherwise in good working order.
  • Do I need renters insurance?

We always recommend renters insurance and we also have an insurance plan in place that protects you and the landlord against any potential damage.
  • How can I get my security deposit back when I leave?

Tenants who take good care of the home and return it in the same condition that it was received will get a full refund of their security deposit. When you give us notice of your intent to leave, we’ll tell you what kind of cleaning needs to be done. If you have paid your rent on time during your tenancy and followed the terms of the lease, chances are good that you’ll get your deposit back.
  • What if I need help moving?

Hiring a moving company such as Busy Bee Movers can make moving in and out of your rental property a breeze.
